Posted by Sophie Howard on 10.03.2011

The new 2012 Kia Rio was rank 14 out of 34 Inexpensive Small Cars. This grade is based on our analysis of 5 distributed reviews and test drives of the Kia Rio, and also based on our analysis of reliability and safety data.

Total redesigned  made for the new Kia Rio 2012, and longer list of the standard safety is something that made automotive press is satisfied and happy, the interior tech and engine also provides more option that is give capability of doing everything the average driver needs it to.
Now that the 2012 Kia Rio has taken some important updates, reviewers think this small car is practicality  taking a lesson. It is offer as a hatchback and sedan, has seats that will make drives feel more comfortable and for passengers, it comes the standard with features like steering wheel-mounted audio controls and USB and auxiliary jacks that shoppers with smartphones and iPods crave.

The performances abilities of Kia Rio may not satisfy  with the power for some low budget people who want small cars, Test drivers say its 138-horsepower four-cylinder engine seems like it would be one of the most fun-to-drive options in the class, but generally, they find it’s more practical than powerful. That means drivers who don’t want to pay more than $20,000 for their next car should seek solution with Volkswagen meanwhile drivers who basically want a good traveler car will be fairly happy with the Kia Rio.

Beforehand, the automotive industry did not consider the Kia Rio a competitor for highly ranked affordable small cars like the Ford Focus or Fiesta, but now that Kia went back to the drawing board, automotive writers think Kia finally has a challenger on its hands. "All said, the 2012 Kia Rio looks to finally be a front-runner in the subcompact segment,” writes Edmunds. “Along with models like the Ford Fiesta, Honda Fit and Hyundai Accent, the Rio is a car that should immediately come to mind."

The new Rio will have a 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine with a standard six-speed manual transmission and optional six-speed automatic transmission. Kia said this powertrain will net 138 horsepower and get up to 30/40 mpg city/highway, giving it some of the highest fuel economy ratings in the class, although the EPA hasn’t confirmed these fuel economy numbers yet.

The new Kia Rio 2012 offer one of the longest warranties in the class that includes a five-year/60,000-mile limited basic warranty and a 10-year/100,000-mile limited powertrain warranty

Lamborghini Gallardo Superleggera Car Review

Posted by Sophie Howard on 9.26.2011

If you're going to spend a morning driving five supercars, the two must-haves are a Ferrari and a Lamborghini -- and World Class Driving did not disappoint. Not only did they have an iconic Lamborghini Gallardo in an orange that stood out in the piney forests near Bellingham, Washington, it was a Superleggera edition (that's "super light" in Italian).

The Lamborghini Gallardo Superleggera, a version of the Gallardo, was launched at the 2007 Geneva Auto Show. The Superleggera paid tribute to the first Lamborghini production model, the famous 350GT, which was designed and built by the Carrozzeria Touring in Milan, a coachbuilding company that recently restarted its activities. The Lamborghini Gallardo doesn't have a Superleggera style constructed body

I was a bit nervous when I saw on the roster that I'd be in the Superleggera first thing in the morning. I mean, it wasn't even eight o'clock, and I was expected to pilot 500-plus horsepower along two-lane roads? What if I forgot which paddle sifter was up and which was down? What if I fell behind? What if I made fool out of myself? Luckily, World Class Driving and the Lamborghini joined forces to make sure none of the above happened, and at about 8:25 that morning, I yelled, "I'm driving a Lamborghini!" at the top of my lungs for all the squirrels and deer to hear. If they could hear me at all over the sound of the V10 engine.

Lamborghini Gallardo Superleggera Specs
Engine: 5.2-liter V10
Horsepower: 530 hp
